BOSE Companion 2 Speakers

OK, so you’ve got your snazzy new Shure E3c Sound Isolating Headphones.

And you’re feeling like the audio slave that you know you are.

Now….what about your need to listen to music through your computer speakers — say, at work?

I know, so old school.

But maybe your boss doesn’t take kindly to you bopping to your iPod at your desk? (If you work at Microsoft, that’s a given.)

Well, you do have his/her permission to have sound at your desk, in the form of those crappy — that’s a tech term — standard speakers that came with your computer.

Time to upgrade to the Bose Companion 2 Multimedia Powered Speakers.

For a mere 99 bucks.

The Bose site says that they "include multifunction control pod and Acoustimass® module for impactful lows." Huh? They sound good, that’s all we need to know. And they feature a sleek, graphite design so you can look good, too.

If you’re feeling really flush — like: $249 flush — you could spring for the Bose Companion 3 Multimedia Powered Speakers. The big difference is the bass. They’re kinda like those JBL speakers you had in college for stereo wars in the dorm. This package comes with cute satellite speakers that attach to your flat panel monitor for a speaker-free desk. (The compact Acoustimass® module fits under your desk, out of site.)

If you watch movies on your computer, the Companion 3s are the ones to get.

Otherwise, you’ll be peachy happy with the "cheap" Companion 2 speakers.
