WEN Hair Products

NOTE: Some customers report problems with WEN and are vocal on Amazon message boards and elsewhere. My daughter — my only child, and precious to me — has used it for years without any problem. Your call.

For 40 years, I have used Mane ‘N Tail Shampoo, which is categorized as a Pet Product on Amazon, where it occupies the top spot in “horse care coat care.”

I started my inter-species romance with Mane ‘n Tail for two reasons.

l) Someone said Eric Clapton’s girlfriend and many other models used it.

2) I’m cheap. [To buy 32 ounces of Mane ‘N Tail Shampoo from Amazon for $6.99, click here.]

When our daughter started asking, “Yes, but what do I do for conditioner?” I bought the cheapest, best conditioner I could find. [To buy 32 ounces of Mane ‘N Tail Conditioner from Amazon for $6.23, click here.]

A few years ago, a friend was backstage at the Academy Awards. She was given tons of swag, because the theory in Celebrity Care is that stars, who are rich, should never pay for anything. She shared the wealth and sent us a bottle of WEN.

Now I’m the only one who uses Mane N’ Tail.

Why do the females here use only WEN?

Because it delivers exactly what it promises: “a 5-in-1 formula that takes the place of your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler and leave-in conditioner.” The WEN choice here is lavender. Lord knows, there are many others. [To buy Lavender WEN from Amazon, click here.]

Testimonials on commercials can never be trusted. But you might trust my wife: “Just use it once…” Or the small person: “Good stuff.”

Expensive? Sixteen ounces for $32, and not discounted.

But not really. WEN tells you to pump the dispenser 24 times. Three will suffice. And as they say, look at all the hair care products you no longer need to buy.

I’m still horsing around. But I buy $32 of WEN every month or so without complaint. Because the customers — here, anyway — are always right.
